A Message to AASD Families (Updated)
Posted on 09/26/2018
Dear AASD Families,

Thank you for being a part of our district. Students and families are valuable members of our schools and community. Our top priority is to ensure a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all.

Recently, there has been increased activity by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in our state. We also know that many of our students may be experiencing trauma related to these recent events, and our principals, counselors, and student services staff are ready to support them.

This resource replaces the original link sent in our family email due to inadvertent web advertising. We regret any perceived political association.

Update: 9/27/2018

As a school district, our top priority is to ensure a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all students.

Currently, students and families may be experiencing concerns regarding what is happening locally and globally regarding immigration. These images and messages could have long-lasting effects on our children, families, and community.

The recent letter sent to families is an effort to support our students. Please be respectful and mindful as we work together to support every child, every day.

Dr. Judy Baseman
