Continuous School Improvement Process (CSIP)

A Continuous School Improvement Process (CSIP) helps sharpen AASD's focus on supporting greater student learning and staff effectiveness at District schools, including several charter schools. AASD's Vision to "Prepare Our Students for Their Future - Every Child, Every Day" drives efforts to keep improving services we provide and the work we do.

CSIP leads school teams through a ten-step, year-long process identified as:

  1. Team Readiness
  2. Data Dig
  3. Clarifying Retreat
  4. Planning
  5. Commitment Retreat
  6. Site Team Meetings
  7. Implementation Visits
  8. Team Reflection Retreat
  9. Showcase Planning
  10. Showcase Presentations

This work allows site teams to analyze data, develop their own hypotheses for the patterns they observe, engage in professional reflective collaboration about the patterns they observe, build team relationships and skills in collaboration, and develop district and building focused goals and action plan strategies for improvement anchored in the data.
